Leadership

Al is a Bible college graduate with a degree in Bible and a minor in Speech. Al has faithfully served in a variety of roles at the church, including as a deacon before becoming an elder. He has a heart for teaching and has enjoyed working with youth as well as leading a coed adult Life Group. Over the years, Al has also been involved in the church choir and has had the opportunity to participate in several mission trips.
Al enjoys serving others both inside and outside the church. When he’s not at church, you may find him volunteering at a local thrift store, where he also serves on the Board of Directors. He is grateful for opportunities to serve, connect with others, and be a blessing to his church and community.

Derek Browning serves as a pastor at Hebron Baptist Church, where he is involved in our finance and counseling ministries. He is passionate about helping others grow in their faith and enjoys studying theology and apologetics. Derek is also a certified ACBC counselor and holds an MBA.
Outside of his ministry at Hebron Baptist, Derek brings more than 20 years of experience in supply chain consulting and leadership. He is married to Heidi, and together they are raising their four children. Derek is grateful for the opportunity to serve his church, invest in others, and use his experience and gifts to help those around him.

Zach Hunter is our dedicated Youth Minister, bringing a heartfelt passion for guiding young people in their faith. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Zach has a deep appreciation for community and connection,
In addition to his role at our church, Zach serves as the Associate Minister and Outreach Coordinator for the Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) at Northern Kentucky University. His experience on campus allows him to reach youth in diverse settings, creating impactful opportunities for spiritual growth and outreach. Zach believes in the power of building strong relationships and providing a safe, welcoming environment for youth to grow and be challenged in their faith 

Christy Reed received a Bachelor of Arts in Education (K-8) from the University of Kentucky, a Master's of Arts in Elementary Education from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. She previously taught in Christian schools and as a Librarian. Her husband, Scott, is a teacher and they have 2 children: Conner and Quinn. 

Sarah was raised in Southern California. She spent 17 years serving her church in Colorado in children's ministry and homeschooling their three children. Sarah and her husband, Chris, moved to Indiana in 2017.  When she's not at work, you can find her teaching sewing and renovating their historic home.
